CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in the can bcm rx handler when processing matching frames for an ANYDEV rx operation from multiple interfaces concurrently. A local user can trigger concurrent frame handling to cause a denial of service.
The issue affects ANYDEV rx operations with an active RX timeout and/or throttle timer, and can cause spurious RX_TIMEOUT notifications and corruption of last_frames metadata.
