The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper resource management in dm-integrity when handling an out-of-limits bio. A local user can trigger a limit check failure to cause a denial of service.

The issue can result in a deadlock because a locked range is not unlocked on the error path.
