The vulnerability allows a remote user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a resource leak in scsiback_device_action() in the xen scsi backend when submitting task-management requests and handling target_submit_tmr() failures. A remote user can issue VSCSIIF_ACT_SCSI_ABORT or reset requests to cause a denial of service.

The issue affects a pvSCSI guest and can leak command tags for a LUN session, stopping the LUN, when task-management request submission fails.
