CWE-ID: CWE-704 - Type conversion
CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper pointer size handling in the ca8210 debugfs test interface when exchanging kmalloc'd buffer pointers through a kfifo on 64-bit systems. A local user can interact with the debugfs test interface to cause a denial of service.
Only 64-bit builds with CONFIG_IEEE802154_CA8210_DEBUGFS enabled are vulnerable.
