1) Improper locking (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-72007)

CWE-ID: CWE-667 - Improper Locking

CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a timing issue in the imx8m block control power-on sequence for VC8000E when powering up the VC8000E domain. A local user can trigger power up and down cycling to cause a denial of service.

The issue is associated with the i.MX8MP VC8000E and VPU_NOC power down handshake, which may hang during power state cycling.
