Description

This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.

1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-68474)

CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read

CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in spufs_mem_mmap_access() when accessing the SPU local store through a memory-mapped area. A local user can supply a crafted offset and length to read beyond the LS_SIZE buffer and disclose sensitive information.

The issue affects 64-bit systems because the existing clamp does not properly limit access against the local store size.
