The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper resource management in _gaccess_shadow_fault() in the KVM s390 gaccess handling code when handling shadow fault processing. A local user can trigger shadow fault handling to cause a denial of service.
The issue affects the KVM s390 vsie path and can prevent forward progress.
