1) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-68469)

CWE-ID: CWE-362 - Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')

CVSSv4: 5.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper state management in mwifiex_ret_802_11_associate() in the mwifiex wireless driver when processing an association command response during roaming. A local user can trigger repeated roam or connection changes to cause a denial of service.

The issue can leave scan requests permanently busy so later userspace scan requests fail with -EBUSY. The behavior was observed on IW412 firmware when power-save sleep events coincided with association handling.
