1) Deadlock (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-74593)

CWE-ID: CWE-833 - Deadlock

CVSSv4: 6.8 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper lock ordering in scx_cgroup_lock() when handling concurrent sched_ext enable or disable operations, cgroup removal, and cpu.weight writes. A local user can trigger a deadlock to cause a denial of service.

The issue arises through an interaction with kernfs during cgroup teardown and cpu controller file activity.
