The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause memory corruption.

The vulnerability exists due to out-of-bounds write in the ZIP writer in libarchive/archive_write_set_format_zip.c when converting an archive entry with an oversized pathname to ZIP. A remote attacker can supply a crafted archive entry with a very long pathname to cause memory corruption.

User interaction is required to process a crafted archive and re-pack it as ZIP.
