The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in the scsi error handler when handling error recovery concurrently with power management state changes. A local user can trigger error handling during power management operations to cause a denial of service.
The issue can leave an unmatched runtime power management put operation and trigger a runtime power management usage count underflow.
