The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference in __in6_dev_stats_get() when processing an skb for an l3 master device whose original physical device has been unregistered. A local user can trigger this condition to cause a denial of service.
