The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper buffer size validation in tun_dst_unclone() in dst_metadata when processing tunnel metadata options. A local user can trigger copying of crafted metadata with options to cause a denial of service.

The issue is triggered on systems built with clang and source fortification enabled.
