The vulnerability allows a local user to disclose sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in decompress_lznt() when parsing invalid compressed data from a corrupted NTFS3 image. A local user can supply a crafted NTFS3 image to disclose sensitive information.
