The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of non-present page table entries in migrate_vma_collect_pmd() when processing page migration entries. A local user can trigger page migration involving non-present PTEs to cause a denial of service.
The issue can also result in incorrect dirty folio accounting.
