The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in pcre2_match() with JIT on arm64 when processing a crafted subject. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted subject to cause a denial of service.
Only arm64 environments using JIT are affected.
