1) Observable Response Discrepancy (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-54768)

CWE-ID: CWE-204 - Observable Response Discrepancy

CVSSv4: 6.9 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to observable response discrepancy in the deprecated user field of SendPasswordResetEmailPayload when handling sendPasswordResetEmail mutation requests with a supplied username or email address. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted GraphQL mutation to disclose sensitive information.

The issue can be used to determine whether a supplied username or email belongs to an existing user, and for existing author-class users it can expose public profile fields through the returned User object.
