The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in drm_atomic_helper_connector_hdmi_update_audio_infoframe when processing an audio infoframe. A local user can trigger the helper function to copy an audio infoframe to cause a denial of service.

The read can extend beyond a page boundary and cause an access violation.
