The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in MPTCP path manager announcement and userspace local-address list allocation when processing concurrent userspace PM generic netlink ANNOUNCE requests during MPTCP socket teardown. A local user can issue concurrent ANNOUNCE requests while closing an MPTCP socket to cause a denial of service.
