The vulnerability allows a local user to cause unsafe pinning of guest pages.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the KVM s390 PCI adapter-interrupt facility handling when enabling the facility with crafted AIBV or AISB values. A local user can supply an AIBV that spans more than one page or a misaligned AISB address to cause unsafe pinning of guest pages.
The AISB is used when the summary-bit indicator is specified.
