1) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-80896)

CWE-ID: CWE-362 - Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')

CVSSv4: 2 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause list corruption.

The vulnerability exists due to improper synchronization and improper list-node state handling in mshv_irqfd_deassign() and mshv_irqfd_deactivate() when concurrently deassigning irqfds and processing EPOLLHUP events. A local user can trigger repeated removal of the same irqfd list node to cause list corruption.
