1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-89769)

CWE-ID: CWE-416 - Use After Free

CVSSv4: 2 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a use-after-free.

The vulnerability exists due to improper cleanup in the NXP PIT clocksource driver when cpuhp_setup_state fails after pit_clockevent_per_cpu_init registers an IRQ. A local user can trigger the affected error path and cause the IRQ to fire to cause a use-after-free.
