The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper locking in the fnic_fcoe_process_vlan_resp function when processing VLAN responses. A remote attacker can send a VLAN response that causes an allocation while an IRQ-safe spinlock is held to cause a denial of service.
