1) Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-89499)

CWE-ID: CWE-754 - Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions

CVSSv4: 2 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause ring buffer page-list corruption.

The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of callback failures in __rb_get_reader_page_from_remote() when handling remote reader page swaps. A local user can trigger an event storm to cause ring buffer page-list corruption.

The callback can return -EBUSY when the writer moves the head before the remote reader catches it, particularly on a small buffer.
