The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to missing release of memory after effective lifetime in the iommu_mock_device_add() error path when device_add() fails while handling an iommufd test ioctl. A local user can invoke the affected ioctl and trigger the failure path to cause a denial of service.
