The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper cleanup in the amd_pmc_probe() error path when amd_stb_s2d_init() fails. A local privileged user can reload the module after a failed initialization to trigger list corruption and a kernel BUG.
