The vulnerability allows a local user to corrupt ring buffer data.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect retry exhaustion handling in simple_ring_buffer_swap_reader_page() when retrying link replacement during a simple ring buffer reader page swap. A local user can trigger the affected reader page swap operation to corrupt ring buffer data.
