The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted spell file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and cause a denial of service on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the C omni-completion script in runtime/autoload/ccomplete.vim. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
