The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a missing release of a folio reference in find_in_level() in the f2fs directory-handling code when handling an error returned by find_in_block(). A local user can perform directory lookups that encounter find_in_block() errors to cause a denial of service.
