Description

This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.

1) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-89840)

CWE-ID: CWE-190 - Integer overflow

CVSSv4: 6.9 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause data corruption and a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to an integer overflow in the F2FS F2FS_IOC_MOVE_RANGE operation when moving a range with unchecked destination offsets. A local user can invoke the operation with crafted range offsets to cause data corruption and a denial of service.

A source hole can cause the block-cloning operation to succeed while extending the destination inode using an unchecked destination end position.
