CVSSv4: 8.5 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of higher-order folio allocation failures in drm_pagemap_migrate_populate_ram_pfn() when migrating RAM PFNs after a higher-order folio allocation fails. A local user can trigger migration under this allocation-failure condition to compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Source-page entries for demoted destination ranges may be left unset, causing copying to stop after the first page.
