1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-89882)
CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read
CVSSv4: 8.5 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]
The vulnerability allows a local user to read out-of-bounds memory.
The vulnerability exists due to an integer underflow in the HEVC reference picture set prediction handling of the RKVDEC decoder when processing an EXT_SPS_ST_RPS control with INTER_REF_PIC_SET_PRED set. A local user can submit a crafted control with a delta_idx_minus1 value that causes the reference picture set index to underflow to read out-of-bounds memory.
The affected decoder is accessible through the V4L2 memory-to-memory interface.
