The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in the AMD display manager I2C adapter teardown when performing an i2c-dev transfer during device removal. A local user can initiate a concurrent i2c-dev transfer to cause a denial of service.
