The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to an ABBA deadlock in ext4_xattr_inode_cache_find() when concurrently exercising extended-attribute workloads. A local user can issue concurrent extended-attribute operations to cause a denial of service.
The issue occurs when the ea_inode mount/format option is in use.
