The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference in the amd_pstate_ut driver when loading the amd_pstate_ut module on a non-AMD platform. A local privileged user can load the module to cause a denial of service.
