The vulnerability allows a local user to map user-exposed buffer objects into an address-space region reserved for kernel buffer objects.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in the Panthor vm_bind ioctl path when processing vm_bind mapping operations. A local user can submit a vm_bind mapping that overlaps the reserved kernel buffer object region to map user-exposed buffer objects into an address-space region reserved for kernel buffer objects.
