1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-90349)

CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read

CVSSv4: 0 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform an out-of-bounds memory access.

The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in mt7996_tx() when processing a transmission with an unspecified mac80211 link identifier. A local user can cause mt7996_tx() to use the unset primary link identifier as an array index to perform an out-of-bounds memory access.

The primary link identifier remains unset until the first link is added.
