1) Improper Check or Handling of Exceptional Conditions (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-90339)

CWE-ID: CWE-703 - Improper Check or Handling of Exceptional Conditions

CVSSv4: 2 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause incorrect syscall return values.

The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of an intercepted syscall return-value sentinel in the PowerPC system_call_exception() syscall handler when seccomp or ptrace intercepts a syscall and explicitly sets its return value. A local user can trigger a syscall subject to seccomp or ptrace interception to cause incorrect syscall return values.

The issue occurs on PowerPC systems with GENERIC_ENTRY enabled and applies to both ppc32 and ppc64.
