The vulnerability allows a local privileged user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a memory leak in pinctrl_generic_to_map() when handling errors while processing device-tree configuration. A local privileged user can trigger an error after partially allocated pinctrl maps are created to cause a denial of service.
