The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper resource cleanup in thermal_remove_hwmon_sysfs when removing a thermal zone that hosts a shared hwmon class device. A local user can trigger removal of the thermal zone to cause a denial of service.

The shared hwmon interface can contain sysfs attributes associated with other thermal zones of the same type.
