The vulnerability allows a local user to corrupt temporary data in user code.

The vulnerability exists due to improper stack pointer handling in optimized x86 uprobes when executing code with an optimized uprobe. A local user can execute code subject to an optimized uprobe that stores a return address in the x86-64 red zone to corrupt temporary data in user code.
