The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of the ACPI device match in asus_wireless_probe() when force-binding the asus-wireless driver to a device without an ACPI companion. A local user can force-bind the driver to such a device and unbind it to cause a denial of service.
