The vulnerability allows a local user to read memory outside an MFT record.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in ntfs_mft_record_alloc() when reusing a free MFT record with a corrupted usa_ofs offset. A local user can create a file on a filesystem containing a corrupted MFT record to read memory outside an MFT record.
