The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper memory resource accounting in traffic-control classifier allocation paths when creating traffic-control filters. A local user can create a large number of traffic-control filters to cause a denial of service.
The issue requires network scheduling, a supported classifier, classifier actions, memory control groups, user namespaces, and network namespaces to be enabled.
