The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to uncontrolled resource consumption in the reliability layer when handling TLS timeouts and acknowledgements. A remote attacker can send acknowledgements for packets that cannot be outstanding to cause a denial of service.
