The vulnerability allows a remote user to access, modify, or delete GridFS files.

The vulnerability exists due to improper neutralization of special elements in data query logic in the GridFS API when a Hash is supplied in place of a file ID. A remote user can supply a Hash that is interpreted as query criteria and overrides the ID match to access, modify, or delete GridFS files.
