The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability exists due to a heap-based buffer overflow in APM OAuth when processing malicious traffic. A remote attacker can send malicious traffic to execute arbitrary code.

Only deployments configured as an OAuth Authorization Server are affected; deployments used strictly as an OAuth Client or Resource Server are not affected.

Note, the vulnerability is being actively exploited in the wild.
