Description

This security bulletin contains information about 1 vulnerability.

1) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-97499)

CWE-ID: CWE-362 - Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition')

CVSSv4: 0 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to trigger a race condition.

The vulnerability exists due to a race condition in the CoreSight ETM perf callbacks when device registration or unregistration updates the per-CPU source device pointer. A local user can invoke perf event callbacks concurrently with these updates to trigger a race condition.

AUX pause or resume callbacks may preempt the disable callback in NMI context.
