1) Operation on a Resource after Expiration or Release (CVE-ID: CVE-2026-97432)

CWE-ID: CWE-672 - Operation on a Resource after Expiration or Release

CVSSv4: 5.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N]

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper binding state management in the iwlwifi mvm P2P-Device binding handling when processing binding updates after a remain-on-channel operation. A local user can trigger a binding update after a P2P-Device is removed from a binding to cause a denial of service.

A stale P2P-Device binding can cause the firmware to crash after its PHY context is removed.
