The vulnerability allows a local user to cause data writes to complete despite a failed ordering barrier.

The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of flush errors in pmem_submit_bio() when processing bio requests with REQ_PREFLUSH and REQ_FUA flags. A local user can submit a bio request with these flags after a preflush failure to cause data writes to complete despite a failed ordering barrier.
